One of the popular ways Crystal Direct enhances its service is by inviting customers and prospects to have a guided tour of its factory and offices. Visitors get a full tour of Crystal’s facilities giving them an opportunity to find out more about the company and team Crystal. Each tour is tailored to visitors’ individual requirements but the overall aim remains the same - to show Crystal’s enthusiasm and dedication to quality, support and service.
Chairman Martin Randall says: “Having been an installer, I appreciate the value of a supplier who understands my needs. So an important part of the way Crystal does business is by engaging with people. This personal approach is paying dividends. Customers really are at the heart of what we do and that’s why it’s important to us that customers understand how we operate.”
Sales Director Martin Manning adds: “The factory tours are a chance to show prospective customers how we can help them grow and to show them products that can help them take advantage of exciting new markets. But tours are not just for prospects. Our factory tours also provide opportunities to build relationships with existing customers so they can find out about our latest products and marketing initiatives and match faces to voices.”

How crystal makes it easy for fabricator-installers to switch to buying in
In the last 12 months, Crystal Direct has helped six major fabricator-installers make the switch to buying in. This allowed these companies to concentrate on installation and selling more effectively to homeowners so they can be more profitable. Now Crystal is looking to help even more fabricator-installers make the change to buying in.
Chairman Martin Randall says: “This year many window companies will feel the full effects of the Government’s austerity plans as homeowners cut back on spending. In order to improve their profitability, they need to sell the widest range of products to meet consumers’ needs. Many will find that to make the most of the opportunities they will need to change to buying in their products rather than fabricating themselves.
“Some fabricator-installers will have thought about switching but have been deterred by the difficulty of exiting from fabrication. There’s a lot to think about. But Crystal has a dedicated team offering practical advice to help fabricator-installers make the transition. We’ve already helped many companies switch easily and seamlessly so they can make more money. And buying from a national fabricator such as Crystal increases the range of products they can offer. We’re happy to talk in complete confidence to any company that thinks it’s time to step back from fabricating to concentrate on selling and installing.”
A-Lover-Fee owned by Crystal Direct, was placed
first and third at a recent British Show Jumping competition
Horses owned by Crystal Direct have been in the ribbons at a major show jumping competition. Ridden by Sandra Randall at the British Show Jumping competition held at The College Equestrian Centre in Keysoe, Bedfordshire, A-Lover-Fee was first in the Senior British Novice class and third in the Discovery class, while Foxtrot was placed third in the Senior British Novice. Both competitions had entries in excess of 50 competitors.
Show Jumping is one of four sports sponsored by Crystal Direct – the others being five-a-side football, netball and polo.
Chairman Martin Randall comments: “Show Jumping is a highly competitive sport. Our horses are competing against high calibre competitors so it’s good to be so successful. Our sporting success is mirrored by Crystal’s success and I believe sports also enhance team work within the business.”
