Crystal Direct is launching a new Android application for smartphones.
The Crystal App will be free to download from the Android market and will give users access to its extensive product range, the latest news and contact information.
Chairman Martin Randall comments: “Launching the Crystal App is part of our commitment to making life easier for customers. The majority of our customers spend their days working on site. Having access to our product range wherever they are means they can easily place an order or get more information without disrupting their day. We have plans to develop the app over time so it becomes an essential tool for customers when they are out of the office.”
Crystal has invested in new machinery to improve manufacturing efficiency.
As part of Crystal Direct’s ongoing programme to improve manufacturing efficiency, the national trade fabricator has invested in two Rotox CNC Corner Cleaners.
Crystal currently fabricates more than 1,000 frames a week using some of the most advanced technology in the industry. The new machines clean corners, transoms, cross welds, visible surfaces, outer corners and inner corners on PVC-U window frames and sashes.
Managing Director Brian Geraghty says: “We pride ourselves on offering customers quality products and reliable service. The new machines are part of a programme to streamline our manufacturing processes and ensure high standards are maintained. This new investment will also increase our capacity in line with demand and ensure lead times are always kept to a minimum.”

A young Point-to-Point rider is now being supported by Crystal Direct. Eighteen year old Bridget Andrews, who is based at her father’s racing yard in Bedfordshire, is being sponsored by the national trade fabricator and will ride in the company’s colours for the remainder of the season.
Last year was Bridget’s first competitive season as a Point-to-Point jockey, and she made an instant impression riding three winners on her way to becoming East Anglian Novice Champion. This season, she has already ridden several winners and is aiming for the National Novice Championship.
Crystal Chairman Martin Randall comments: “Bridget has made a remarkable start to her riding career and we are pleased to be able to support her as she progresses through the ranks. She is very talented and I have no doubt she will be very successful on the Point-to-Point circuit.”
Crystal is a keen supporter of sports. It also sponsors polo, show jumping, five-a-side football and netball.
