Crystal Direct has introduced a new, high quality external Georgian bar (also known as an astragal bar) to its window range. Unlike many other suppliers, Crystal end mills the Georgian bar and supplies the window fully glazed rather than with ‘snap-on’ end caps for installers to fix onsite. The result is a neater and more professional finish to the window and less chance of discolouration over time due to weathering of different materials. It also means installers don’t have to worry about losing an end cap onsite or find the bar doesn’t fit properly.

With Crystal, customers can buy windows with external Georgian bars that have been end milled and fully glazed in our factory so they don’t need to worry about fiddling with end-caps onsite. And it also looks better, because it fits perfectly with none of the unsightly cross pieces and end caps. Our window has a neater, more traditional look that the homeowner will want.”
