Crystal Direct has invested in a new lorry for its highly successful Team Crystal Polo team.
Last year, Team Crystal Polo won 12 out of the 14 tournaments it entered, and were narrowly defeated in the final of the other two matches. This success means the team must now enter tournaments with a high handicap and as a result players need more horses.
The new Scania lorry, the Rolls Royce of horse boxes, can carry up to 14 polo ponies, compared to the five they could transport in the previous lorry. And the team’s success is continuing. This season Team Crystal Polo has entered four tournaments – it has won three and made the final of the fourth. The lorry is already in use and the team won’t be missed at tournaments thanks to the lorry’s striking livery – it has silhouettes of the team in action including Crystal’s Chairman Martin Randall.
Martin comments: "When we bought the new team lorry, we felt it was important that Crystal’s logo was displayed but we also wanted a design that was unique. The livery is certainly eye-catching and is getting a lot of attention. It helps us get Crystal’s name and logo on the road and we’re easy to spot travelling on the M1!"
